Nearly every process and procedure within BCS already has version control and sign off, is regularly reviewed and the review schedule (for some an annual process would be unnecessarily arduous) is checked by the audit committee at least annually.
If there are documents outside this that need to be included in the process they should be notified to the head of quality within BCS HQ. If this is separate documentation then it should be referred to its owner.

We do not have time or the inclination to be doing highly administrative activities like reviewing and maintaining documentation. We're volunteers, and we want to be doing the things that we find fulfilling, NOT document control.

Please see my previous comments about good governance - introducing the forms of good governance certainly don't guarantee it!

On a related note, the BCS has completely failed to offer us an effective document management / workflow system to support member group documentation, so we use google drive and Trello. Implementing improved member group work management tools would be an essential pre-requisite.

Just to be super clear, there is absolutely no way you're getting me to version control and review our member group working documents on an annual basis!!!!

Agree if this refers to the documentation that is available by BCS to Member Groups. Strongly Disagree if this refers to Member Groups maintaining version control on their own docs.
